Plant-based meat, presentation by Nick Hazell, CEO of v2food, the start-up backed by Hungry Jack’s & CSIRO
If the world keeps eating animal meat at current rates, we’ll need an extra planet’s worth of resources to satisfy this demand when world population hits 10 billion in 2050.
Join us for an interesting evening with Nick Hazell. Nick is the CEO and Founder of Australian startup v2food. Launched nationally in October 2019, and working in close collaboration with CSIRO, v2food has developed tasty, sustainable and healthy plant-based meat.
Nick holds a Master of Manufacturing technology from Cambridge University. He worked in aerospace and chocolate manufacturing before moving into research and development in the food industry, working at global multinationals in the Netherlands and Australia. He was R&D Director at Masterfoods and at PepsiCo Australia and New Zealand, developing products like Grain Waves, Red Rock Deli, Sunbites and Smiths. He was a founding staff of UTS award winning Innovation degree BCII, a founding director of FIAL and initiator of health star rating system in Australia.
