Dutchlink Oranje Guide

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is here, and Oranje starts in Group F against Japan, Sweden and Tunisia.

This page brings together the key information for Dutch supporters in Sydney, including match times, where to watch together, and Dutchlink’s Oranje watch parties during the knockout rounds.

ORANJE IN THE POLLS

Strong expectations, but not among the top favourites

The Netherlands enters the World Cup as one of the stronger European teams, but not among the main favourites to win the tournament. Most previews see Oranje as the team to beat in Group F and expect the Netherlands to progress, with market-based forecasts putting the chance of reaching the quarter-finals at around 36 to 40 per cent. Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman has sounded positive about the squad, saying he feels more confident than he did before Euro 2024.
