A fully booked Dutchlink C-suite Breakfast brought corporate & business members together at Hall & Wilcox in Sydney for an engaging interview with Alister Henskens SC MP. Alister shared how his father’s role as a Dutch resistance fighter during WWII and the family’s migration to Australia shaped his values and career. The discussion also covered his path from barrister and Senior Counsel into politics, his involvement in landmark legal reforms, and his perspective on how NSW can strengthen its position as a financial and corporate hub in the region.

Our sold-out invite only C-suite breakfast brought together senior leaders from across industries for a powerful conversation on the energy transition. Hosted in the offices of Norton Rose Fulbright, guest speaker Paul Kanters explored what “Net Zero” means in practice, the scale of infrastructure and investment required, and the readiness of emerging technologies like hydrogen and carbon capture. The discussion also touched on regulatory complexity, long lead times, and the economics behind clean energy. A timely and thought-provoking event.

Exclusive C-Suite Breakfast with special guest Peter Achterstraat AM, NSW Productivity Commissioner, hosted by Dutchlink and Consul-General Hugo Klijn on Wednesday, 16 October 2024, at PwC Australia in Barangaroo. This sold out event was held in a small setting with invited corporate, business, and professional members only. Peter Achterstraat AM shared his views on issues such as housing, education, and infrastructure, followed by a Q&A session.

VIP Event at Sydney Contemporary Art Fair - 4 September 2024
Dutchlink hosted a sold-out VIP event on September 4th at the Sydney Contemporary Art Fair. The event was exclusively for corporate, business and professional members, and was attended by remarkable Sydney based Dutch business talent. Guests enjoyed a welcome reception with canapés and drinks, followed by an exclusive private tour led by Dutchlink Board Director and longstanding Art Fair curator, Akky van Ogtrop. The evening provided a unique opportunity for members to connect, share insights, and experience Australia’s premier art event in an intimate setting. It was an outstanding evening, filled with networking and cultural engagement at its finest.

Sydney Film Festival - 12 June 2024
On June 12th, the Dutchlink Board of Directors invited corporate and business members to attend an exclusive screening of the 2024 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize winner 'Sujo' during the 2024 Sydney Film Festival. This event is an annual Dutchlink tradition, by invitation only, organised to thank corporate and business members for their continued support. Before the screening, attendees enjoyed a special dinner at Abode Bistro & Bar, where the service and food were exceptional, according to the attendees. A red carpet photo with Sydney Film Festival Director Nashen Moodley was taken right before the start of the film.

On June 6th, the Dutch Business community in Sydney gathered for an exclusive C-Suite Breakfast hosted by Dutchlink and Consul-General Hugo Klijn at IMC Trading. Guests enjoyed an engaging discussion with Glenda Korporaal OAM, renowned journalist for The Australian, as she shared insights on the global economic and socio-political landscape. Key topics included global challenges, the political situation in the US, and the impact of the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East on the global economy and Australia. Glenda, who has Dutch heritage, also highlighted the strong ties between the Dutch and Australian business communities. The event, featuring a Q&A session with attendees, provided valuable perspectives and networking opportunities in an intimate setting.
