    Due to bad weather, the Dutchlink Rabobank Tennis Tournament is rescheduled and will now take place at 22 November 2015. You can now register for the rescheduled tournament.

    We will play tennis on the courts of Primrose Park in Neutral Bay. The games are suitable for three different levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. A tennis competition would not be the same without an audience so feel free to come and support our players!

    Costs:
    $ 40 for players (16 years and older)
    $ 25 for supporters

    The next Dutch Mixed Hockey Match will be held on Sunday 8 November 2015 on the artificial grass playing field of St George Randwick Hockey Club (Mutch Ave, Kyeemagh). Click here for a map.

    The match is from 5PM to 6PM. Please be present at 4.45PM and bring an orange and a white t-shirt. The club has changing rooms. Children are welcome.

    The World Solar Challenge is a biennial solar-powered car race through the Australian Outback, from Darwin to Adelaide. This year three Dutch teams will compete: Team Eindhoven, Team Twente and Team Nuna from Delft. The Consulate-General of the Netherlands in Sydney considers the WSC the perfect occasion to demonstrate the innovative character of the Netherlands. Therefore the Consulate-General has invited the teams and solar cars of the Universities of Delft and Twente to be present at several events in Sydney.

    The Sydney Chamber Music Festival is all about bringing people back to smaller intimate settings to connect with each other through chamber music expression. An interesting mix of talented Australian musicians perfom alongside international guest musicians to inspire their audiences during the three concerts. Each concerts has its own theme and will happen in the weekend of 26 and 27 September.

    On 25 October 1616 the Dutch East India Company (VOC) ship Eendracht, skippered by Dirk Hartog, encountered the west coast of Australia. Anchoring near what is now known as Dirk Hartog Island, they stayed for two days. Before leaving, a pewter plate recording the visit was attached to a post on Dirk Hartog Island. As they sailed north they charted 400 km of the coast.
